Victor/Victoria is a strategic communications and creative consultancy founded by Brenden Kennedy and Vicky Law.
— Unique perspectives for complex problems
For nearly ten years, Brenden and Vicky have worked in close partnership across brand strategy, digital, social, e-commerce, campaigns, and communications. Their work is shaped by distinct but complementary perspectives, united by a shared conviction that the strongest brands are not simply well designed — they are coherent, culturally attuned, and unmistakable at every point of contact.
Our name is inspired by Victor/Victoria, a musical written around one person playing two very demanding roles. It reflects the duality at the heart of our partnership: two points of view, two complementary disciplines, and one exacting standard for the work.
Our approach was forged in fashion, an industry in which brand is inseparable from business. It demands a rigorous understanding of image, audience, aspiration, experience, and commercial performance — while continually anticipating shifts in culture, technology, and consumer behavior. It also placed us at the forefront of digital and e-commerce transformation, where every detail of a brand must work as hard online as it does in the world.
We have since applied that discipline across a wide range of sectors, including global business, consumer brands, conservation, culture, and purpose-led organizations. Regardless of category, our role is to identify what is most distinctive, articulate it with precision, and translate it into work that is as effective as it is considered.
Brenden is a brand and narrative strategist with fifteen years in fashion and consumer brand work before founding the consultancy. He built his craft inside the brand teams of Tommy Hilfiger, Donald Pliner, Aerosoles, and Martin + Osa — with a parallel chapter in celebrity styling — learning the difference between a brand story that sells a season and one that earns a generation. During his years at Tommy Hilfiger, he led visual and creative strategy for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong and Bangalore, directing brand execution across 14 markets and more than 1,000 points of sale.
Fashion taught him how brands are built. He left to prove it works everywhere else. He began consulting on brand strategy for organizations where the stakes were real — Team Wolf, Focused On Nature, cultural institutions, advocacy groups, and founders building something new. The thread that runs through the practice now: writing positioning that gives a brand somewhere to stand, then turning that position into voice, identity, and content that travels.
Brenden is also National Board President of the wayOUT LGBT Foundation, which regrants 100% of its funds to local LGBTQ+ youth centers in the states where they face the most hostility.
Vicky is a brand and digital strategist with two decades in marketing strategy, working primarily in luxury fashion, lifestyle, and global travel — always with an eye on the bottom line.
She moves fluidly across brand, creative, and digital marketing, understanding that each influences the other. Her background spans startups and global enterprises, emerging DTC brands and established fashion houses, giving her an instinct for what works at scale and what works at the earliest stages of building.
At the heart of the work is a genuine love of storytelling — finding the most compelling way to express what a brand stands for across every discipline, channel, and touchpoint. Her education in English and Psychology proves to be ideal preparation: understanding what motivates people, articulating it with precision, and knowing where creative vision and commercial outcomes converge.
Victor/Victoria helps ambitious organizations find it — and execute with the clarity and precision to make it count.
